Hello,

Are prescription medicines priced the same across all pharmacies (e.g. Guardian vs. General Hospital vs. Private Clinic)?

If not, what Hospitals / Pharmacies offer the best prices?

(p.s. the medicine is a common pain relieving med)

Thanks

Are you talking about paracetamol?..of course not the same, nothing is equal here, COWBUNGA the ministar of health, would want you to believe in SUBSIDIZE...repeat SUB SI DIZE!...you can not afford U die!

Example: a strip of 20 Biogesic cost S$2.60 at the U group pharmacy, I can get cheaper at $1.20 per strip of 20, and you can get it cheaper across the causeway...same quality from the authorized pharmacy there.

Prescription drugs prices here is like buying petrol from the petrol stations, it is made to look like there are different brands & different sellers, but the price is MONOPOLISTIC.

Won't direct you, where to get the best price, so, it is best to get edcated with the generic name of the painkiller you are looking for ( not the brand name), and you can shop around...

If you looking for cheaper drugs don't forget to check the prices in JB.

One of the drugs my Sporean doctor prescribed was cheaper by about 50% in KL
