A woman was spared a jail sentence on Monday for allowing a loanshark to use her bank account and ATM card.
Syafinah Hasnah Rathi, 25, a housewife, who is nine months pregnant, was on Monday granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal.
A district court heard that she had been issued a police warning.
The penalty for assisting an unlicensed moneylender is a mandatory jail term of up to four years and a mandatory fine between $30,000 and $300,000.
