It was, to say the least, a very enlightening experience.
Unlike other KTV's especially those in China, here the PRC's forced themselves onto the patrons, even to the extent of taking off their tops and unzipping your pants. Why? All for $20 SGD when you settle your bill. We had a total of 20 among the 3 of us. I am sure the girls hop between 5-10 tables a night and those who are very aggressive can make between $200 - $300 a night.
Like I said, no Mamasan etc to just bring the girls over for you to choose, just an endless stream of girls coming through the door. We had to be just as aggressive to chase them out.
In China, you choose who you want to sit with you for the duration and it cost 200RMB.
Anyway, when a country's morals is being eroded like this, it is sad especially when the present leadership seems to present themselves as people of HIGH MORALS.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I also went to a KTV at a hotel on Newton Road -cannot recalled the name right now.
It is different here. Most of the girls are from Vietnam. There is a Mamasan - a Singaporean whom I like quite a bit. She brings the girls, you choose who you want to sit with you. It cost $50SGD. I kind of like this method because there is no pressure to choose and you need only have 1 or 2 if you like.
Of course none of these compare to Changping in China where I spend 5 days on my way back to Canada.

Just for intellectual discussion sake....

If they do imposed draconian laws to keep out all vices, we may have a hard time finding some form of "external releases"........we are all men, once in a while we may need such ECAs.....I for one am glad that they do allow such places to exist, albiet in a controlled manner, I travelled widely and am honestly not duly impressed with the KTVs they have in China, Thailand or Vietnam as they are a mite tame compared to Singapore KTVs, with the exception of Malaysia and Indo.
