PRC standardizing hp batteries after chargers

hp giant market and maker PRC is standardizing batteries after chargers. That is to say, there will standard & interchangeable type numbers like dry cell batteries (size C/D/AA/AAA) for handphones.

The result would cause handphones and batteries to be sold separately and may be different brands, it will reduce cost to consumers and offer choices. E.g. you can buy a new Sony (only) phone and reuse your old Nokia batteries, or buy a cheaper Seven-Eleven battery. As long as you follow the specified type (or size) numbers they will be compatible.

Same as for chargers, they are standard and reusable. You can buy a new phone only without having to buy a new charger and batteries together. Cost is reduced and recycling is better.

You also don't need a separate charger for each of your phone. I think for PRC USB 5V is the standard now. Any phone can be charged at any USB anywhere regardless of brand and model.
