A TRAILER driver was charged in a district court on Thursday with causing the death of an elderly pedestrian through his negligence. Bian Ruxin, 31, allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout when his vehicle hit Madam Tan Ah Peck, 82, and caused her death along Pandan Gardens on May 25. A pre-trial conference has been set for Nov 9. Bian's $10,000 police bail was extended. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine.
