STOMPer Nicole saw this secondary school couple who continued to eat on the train, even after the 'no eating' message was played.

This STOMPer says:

"I saw this today(26 Sept) at about 3.30pm. The train was heading towards Jurong East and they got on at Khatib.

"They were eating some pastries and they continued eating all the way."

One was eating longans and another was cutting nails. These ugly commuters were spotted by STOMPer Jawith when he was aboard a bus and train.

In an email to STOMP today (26 Sept), the STOMPer says:

"As a common commuter who is already sick of taking the MRT at night due to over crowding and stale air flow circulation, I tried taking the bus for a change yesterday(25 Sept) from Chinatown at 10.45pm.

“To my disgust, I found this old man sitting just behind the driver's seat eating longans.

“Eating inside the bus itself is an offence; moreover he was throwing the peeled fruits layer all around his seat.

“As I can’t speak Chinese, I didn't dare to get into a conversation with him. He got down before Commonwealth MRT and left dirty peeled fruit shells in the bus.

“Few weeks before, I also found a lady cutting nails in the same bus.

“After such a sick night, I decided to take the MRT in the morning. My horror continues today (26 Sept) as well.

"I took a train from Paya Lebar to Clementi at 11am. A lady in her 30's got into my compartment either from Redhill or Queensway MRT station.

“After a few minutes, she started cutting her nails inside the train. She was doing it from Buona Vista to Clementi. I got down at Clementi and I don't know how long she was going to continue her cheap act.

“These disgraceful and unhygienic acts are happening day to day in public transport.

“I want to know who should be responsible stop such incidents happening again. Should it be the bus captain or fellow commuters?

“Also, would like to know if we are we getting our cents worth for the public transports we are paying for.

“Why isn't there a scheme where the public can claim their money back if service is not up to standard in buses and trains?”
