Power Stations all sold, why SP services still billing ?

we thought all the power stations in sinkapore oredi sold to foreigners, but how come SP services still billing the people the water and electricity.

by right, PUB should bill water and the three foreign companies manning the power stations should offer competition and let sporns choose.

we should be getting good compettition from these aliens, who is stopping good things to happen.

got balls to sell the power stations, must got balls to let the foreigners bill us lah, why the cower man ???

power stations no more belongs to sinkapore, where got such thing PAP still billing, we should get the best deal oredi.

when aliens bill us, want to hike price, we can switch to another pwoer station right.

tell us, what the fcuk the SP services is still around.

I think SP services is providing a "service" in term of billing on behalf of all the 3 power stations and PUB as they got all the people database...
It's "wise" for them not to deal with billing as all of you can recall a few years ago, there's a major "screw up" of billing system..SP services have to spend millions of dollars just to sort it out, on top of spending ten of millions migrating of old to new billing system...

Power station not mean service provider. The SP is the service provider and all 3 power station have to sell the electricity to SP.
Unless all 3 power station lay out their own power line to end consumer.
Now lan lan 3 power station have to sell the electricity to SP.

because of this massive injection of surplus money, they can give themselves massive bonus.

while the end user will suffer over the long term.

The power companies form the generation segment of the power industry. A power generator may or may not be a power retailer. If they are purely power generators, then their sole responsibility is to generate sufficient power to meet the demands of the energy market, which is managed/regulated by the Energy Market Authority or EMA.

For the residential market, the sole retailer is SP, which is why you get the bill from them and not the power generators. The power generators sell power to the retailers and large commercial entities that participate directly in the energy market.

It is somewhere in the plan that the residential market will be opened up to multiple retailers at a later date. At that point, it is possible that the power generators will bid to become a residential retailer as well.
