Interestingly if SPP send a NCMP to parliament and PAP decided to absorb PP or Joo chiat into another GRC, the SPP will protest along with the WP MP ... it will again turn the waves against PAP ... the 40% will vote for opposition will against be more "tulan" than now.
That is if Lina Chiam knows how to turn this against them, aunty wants to serve like her Husband Mr. Chiam but its quite obvious she does not possess the same political acumen like him. Heart is in the right place but....:(

If they put PP to Bishan, they are sabo Bishan. Chiam won 43% this round and is continuing his ground work there. Same as WP the last round in Aljunied.
If they put PP to MP, they will face Nicole the next round. Goh will be near 80 next round, he may retire. MP has no other big shot and will be more shaky if PP goes in. They can of course tear up MP and form new GRC if Goh retires, but whoever gets PP gets a whole lot of oppo voters and will be praying hard everyday.

yes, this is what im talking about. u try to shift those opposition supporters into other GRC, yes u can win now. but when oppsitions really challenge you in that GRC and those oppo supporters get to vote. the oppo support will surface and pap will be defeated. i believe this happen in aljunied too, a lot are wp supporters since old hougang time. then pap re draw the boundary and it was under aljunied and now LTK and gang just walk in only all vote for them.
With hindsight, Mr Chiam should have cooperated with WP instead of trying to merge with RP. Look at how RP performed in West Coast. If Chiam had swallowed his pride and merge with WP and contested PP and Bishan-TP under WP, the opposition may have won both. Painful lesson learnt. Now it allows the PAP to regroup and it would be harder to win PP and Bishan-TP in 2016.

Chiam have been jumping from one party to another. From SDP>>SPP>>SDA>>SPP. The party have management problem. The best is not to form alliance/merge.
Best solution is to let SPP member to decide if they want to disband the party and join WP or other party.
Never like the ideas 2 party join with 2 head. That what happen to SDA with so may party before.
My own opinion SPP will die with Chiam.

Sitoh is already being coy about whether PPTC will join BTPTC. That is a good indication of whether PP will stay. If Sitoh has his way, he is going to keep PP as an SMC and win big time next elections and be entrenched in PP for as long as he wants.
