no such thing will happen unless one of them vacate their seat for some reasons and an by-election is called for, there won't be a PP and Joo Chiat in the next elections anyway, probably absorbed into another GRC :(

PAP played very dirty by including 2-3 rows of HDB flats in 2006 which have been part of Siglap constituency for many years. These flats are spanners PAP thrown at Workers' Party making flat dwellers worry as to how a Town Council can ever be formed without critical mass. This will surely lead to bad quality of life for these HDBers. Last 5 years these flats were subcontracted to East Coast GRC so no sweat if PAP wins. Big headache if WP wins.

Therefore the flat dwellers have vested interest to vote PAP! Hey there was a gun pointed at them!

The little margin Charles Chong won must have come from these HDB flat dwellers.

For 20 years the PAP wanted to get back PP and now you want them to give it back? Not possible and we best forget the idea. From 2006 - 2011 they have added more than 100,000 foreigners to become new citizens. These are people who have already made up their mind to be citizens because of PAP policies, so they will vote PAP. These are very telling in garnering additional votes for the PAP to get back PP. Not the fault of tje PP and Joo Chiat residents.
