Posters on S'pore's 50 years

TAKE in the enormous changes Singapore has undergone in the first poster exhibition on the nation's 50 years of self-governance.
On show are colourful works of art with short, crisp messages and even iconic taglines such as 'Stop At Two', 'Save Water' and 'Be Flu Free'.
'The posters are used to retell and celebrate 50 years of the Singapore Story. The theme of the exhibition revolves around the trials and tribulations of a small city state in its nation building journey,' said a Mica statement on Thursday.
'The story is viewed through the prism of national security.'
The exhibition was launched on Thursday morning by Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, RAdm (NS) Lui Tuck Yew.
It is held at the Central Public Library of the National Library, and is open to the public from Sept 3 to 15. Admission is free.
