It appears that they are reluctant to initiate a new lockdown now, before CNY.

If Covid spreads, and it will, they are responsible.

We all know that there is no way the people will do social distancing nor take precautions when they are away from the law enforcers.

Don't tai chi the blame ok Mr Minister! You willing to take the money and the title, better take the responsibility.

There is no point locking down because it does absolutely nothing to stop the inexorable spread for the virus.

Even if everyone was locked in a prison cell with zero contact with anyone else for 6 months the virus would simply wait it out and would continue where it left off once the lockdown was lifted.

It is better just to bite the bullet and get it over and done with. Some will die but 99.97% of the population will still be around so there is actually nothing much to worry about. The odds of dying of Covid are far lower compared to the risks posed by obesity, hypertension and diabetes.

Those who are truly terrified of dying prematurely can do a far better job of warding off death by exercising, cutting down on sugar and starch and keeping alcohol consumption to the barest minimum.

For sure...1 Lee family in Singapore will not celebrate reunion dinner on 11 Feb night.

From the very beginning during phase 1, many people wrote to advise government to bar CECA Indians to come to Singapore. But, they ignored and those passengers arrived Singapore are mainly CECA Indians.
Worst, our government has been doing nothing even majority of the positive cases are CECA Indians, they still allow CECA Indians nd their families to come to Sinkapore with open arms and legs.
2nd or 3rd wave are bound to happen in no time. They the ultimate party suff8is still Singaporean.

I just don’t understand why people cannot simply enjoy the quiet life of CB and diam diam stay at home ? Why people have to be so restless ?

Please guess the common denominator......

IMPORTED CASES

There are 36 imported cases reported on Wednesday and they had already been placed on stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore, MOH said.

They are :
A Singaporean and a permanent resident who returned from Canada and India
One dependant’s pass holder who came from India
One long-term visit pass holder who arrived from India
Four student’s pass holders who had been to India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and Slovak Republic
Four work pass holders who arrived from India and Ireland
20 work permit holders from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Myanmar — of whom seven are foreign domestic workers
Four short-term visit pass holders — two of them had arrived from India to visit their Singaporean relatives while the other two came from Myanmar and the United States for work assignments here

This has eerie parallels to what happened in Wuhan exactly one year ago. Initial news of the pandemic in Wuhan began in December 2019, but the CCP regime suppressed the news and apprehended 'rumour mongers', so as to not spoil the mood for CNY. They even had a mass gathering feast for Wuhan residents to prove everything was alright and under control. Die die must save face and put the Supreme Leeder in a positive light.
