PETALING JAYA: A popular gaming streamer from China has surprised thousands of her fans with her appearance when she turned up in person to receive an award, which differs somewhat from the profile picture she uses.

You Chong, received the Top 12 Most Popular Streamer Award from the creators of QQ Speed, an online racing game.

Known for her engaging content and clear explanation of her racing technique, the gamer-turned-influencer has a substantial fan base.

Her fans were delighted to see their favourite streamer honoured but they were in for a surprise during the award ceremony in Taicang, Jiangsu province, China, on Jan 19.
