No entry to Night Safari, even after queuing for 1 hour
A STOMPer queues for over an hour to purchase tickets, only to be denied entry into the Night Safari because the park is full.
Here's what the upset STOMPer had to say:
"My girlfriend and I were some of the many unfortunate people who had decided to go to the Night Safari on 24 Oct.
"We arrived at 8:10 pm, and there was a long queue snaking all the way from the bus stop to the ticketing booths, about 100m long at least.
"There appeared to be no ushers directing the people in sight. After over an hour of queuing, we finally managed to get our tickets and proceeded to the entrance of the safari.
"To our horror, there was another crowd queuing to enter the safari! When I checked with a park attendant, he told me that the safari was full inside and they will only let people enter once enough people leave the safari.
"As you can see, we had effectively wasted all our time because there no measures had been taken to ensure proper flow of human traffic.
"Here are the problems we spotted:
1. No ushers to direct queue. Many people were cutting queues and people were seen quarrelling because of queue-cutting.
2. No crowd control. No one knew where to go.
3. No bus stop line. No one knew where to queue for the bus."
