LHL is not useless or incomptent. His father is a control freak and does has a stronger personality of which many peoiple had a hard time to overcome.

If LKY is willingly to step down, then we can really see if LHL is able or not. But with LKY still hanging around, there is little LHL can do unless he rebel against his own father.
