Medisave for dental care
'I hope the Ministry of Health will reconsider.'
MS JOANN LOH: 'Recently, Medisave was approved for surgical operations abroad. I have one, possibly two, root canal treatments to be done soon which will cost $1,000 each. I work and am not on welfare, but my income does not provide enough for savings. But I do have $12,000 to $13,000 in my Medisave (hospitalisation insurance taken care of), but it is frustrating that I cannot use a small fraction of that to improve my health and well being. I hope the Ministry of Health will reconsider this.'
