<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->ON TUESDAY at Sengkang Square, I saw a cyclist zip past a pregnant woman from behind, narrowly missing her. The oblivious cyclist just continued his journey on the pavement, leaving the pregnant woman in shock after she almost fell.
I have highlighted to the Traffic Police in the past the dangers these cyclists pose and I was assured they would step up patrols in the area, but the problem persists. Every day, between 7am and 9am, and 7pm and 9pm, hordes of cyclists still brush past pedestrians on the pavement.
Do we have to wait for a serious accident before we are given protection and it is safe to use the pavement?
