Man on online hunt for girls: Police says decal on his car is no proof he's cop
A STOMPer came across an online profile with lewd messages on it, apparently belonging to a police officer.
In his profile messages, the man promises girls fun, no-strings-attached sex, assuring them that he is 'good in bed'.
Said the STOMPer:
"While doing a casual browse on the social networking website, I came upon some indecent and obscene comments left by a man who looks to be in in his 40s.
"Naturally repulsed, I felt inclined to check out who this dirty old man was.
"On foresight, I am used to seeing many of such men online, but to my shock, when I browsed through his photos, I actually saw one of him posing beside his car, which was slapped on with a police sticker.
"In addition, details on his profile indicate his interests as 'a lot of interest, sex fun n good in bed', that his best features are 'my togue n my private part, with my soft touch'.
"He further indicated that he's a 'very open minded person' and prompted that any ladies that want to have fun could contact him.
"If he really is from the police force, it really questions the moral character and values of some officers.
"Where's the security assurance when the very people who're supposed to safeguard the safety of our people (girls included) are probably improper men who solicit for girls online?
"This is really disgusting. The police better do something about it. It's worse than corruption."
Decal on car does not mean he's cop
When contacted, Police spokesman Insp Ivan Choo said:
"These souvenir labels/decals do not indicate that the occupants or the vehicle are associated with the Police Force.
"There is no advantage to be gained by displaying these labels.
"The proof of a Police officer’s identity is the officer’s warrant card.
"A genuine warrant card will have identification features such as the Police crest, the photo of the officer, his name and NRIC number."
