A STOMPer is at his wits' end. He has sustained a knife slash on his arm, splashed paint on his walls and numerous threatening calls, accountable to his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. All these because he disallowed her from seeing her ex.
He says:
"I’ve received threats from my girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend for a period of time. It started when I disallowed my girlfriend to have any more contact with him.
"Initially, we just ignored his threats. However, he started harassing my girlfriend by waiting under her house.
"We reported him to the police and my girlfriend moved. He started using a private number to call my girlfriend and look for her at her workplace.
"As my girlfriend refused to talk to him or meet him up, he put his threats into action.
"One night, my door was chained and splashed with paint. My name was scribbled on the walls along corridors and stairways. I reported this to the police but there was no proof of my suspicion.
"Days later, he called my girlfriend’s workplace to look for her. He threatened her to meet him, warning this is only a consolation prize and more will be coming if his instruction was not followed.
"We reported this to the police again, and were advised to sue him through magistrate complaint. Unable to tolerate his action, we went to complain.
"Before the peace mediation session, I was warned by two strangers who waited outside my house to drop the case. They said he will find people to beat me up if I do not follow his instruction.
"Eventually, I failed to sue him without evidence.
"Weeks after, I was assaulted by an unknown person waiting below my house.
"He slashed me from behind with a 20cm knife. Then, he turned and tried for a second attack. Fortunately, I blocked it with my shoe bag. I wore a backpack which protected me. Hence, I only sustained a deep cut on my left triceps. Police are still investigating.
"Days after, he went to look for my girlfriend, asking her about my injury. He also warned my girlfriend to listen to him or he will cut off my limbs the next time. It was all recorded down but the police thought it was not concrete enough.
"Recently, an unknown number sent a message to my girlfriend warning me not travel to Malaysia during Chinese New Year, otherwise he will let me die. Also stated that it is his place there and he don’t know who else he can’t play with. He warned us not to let the police know or I will die.
"I don’t know who else to approach when the police are not helpful.
"I might put my life in grave danger writing this, but I do not want to live under his threats.
"I hope someone, anyone, can provide me with a good solution or assistance."
