The insignificant nobody me do have admiration for Mr Chee Soon Juan, the social LIBERAL party's SecGen. He was one of the few that dared stood up against our great Founding Fathers, but in the end he lost each encounter.
He did not REALIZE & still does not realize what he is up against - not ONE man but an entrenched TEAM that had successfully led Singapore from poverty to a better life's elevation when compared to other nations raked by steep corruption at all levels, wokeness, self centred individualism, incompetence, etc..
Singapore do need opposition members, as such is what Democracy is. No mortal high or low is perfect. Acknowledging mistakes is the only way to correct mistakes in order to progress & evolve. However, if the opposition parties are just merely chipping at the block of successful governance pedestal, it will go nowhere.
Where is their manifestos? What were their efforts done to elevate citizens' lives on a National governance level or at least within their won electorates which SDP had not won for years, but just CRITICISMS seen by their sadly vocal comments to chip at the pedestal rather than to offer constructive & pragmatic solutions?
$15,000 a month & Million dollar salaries for Ministers WILL no doubt attract the best, but EQUALLY, it WILL attract the worst whom will look at loopholes to make inroads into governance WITHOUT even offering any better alternatives but only to create doubts & chaos. Thus may citizens beware & be aware.
