Police officers here have used their Taser guns on 69 occasions since last year, but none of the suspects tased suffered any serious injuries.
This was confirmed by a police spokesman, who was responding to queries from The Straits Times on Tuesday.
Selected officers from the Singapore Police Force have been trained and issued with X26 Taser guns since six years ago.
These guns, which have a range of 8m, provide officers an alternative to firing their service revolvers when confronting hostile suspects.
These include people who are violent or armed with dangerous weapons such as knives or broken glass bottles, said the spokesman.

OFFICERS CAREFUL
'Actions taken by police officers are calibrated to be proportional to the threat posed by subjects'

Experts said a suspect will be instantly incapacitated once he is hit by a Taser. This is because two barbed darts from the gun will latch onto his skin and send up to 1,200 volts of electricity through his body, blocking the central nervous system.
