Police arrested a 24-year-old man on Thursday in connection with a series of loanshark harassment in Serangoon, Yishun and Boon Lay.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division, while on anti-crime patrol, spotted the suspect behaving suspiciously in the vicinity of Serangoon Ave 4.
The man turned and fled when the officers approached him, but was later detained with loanshark-related paraphernalia comprising a can of paint, a marker pen and a mobile phone containing debtors' records found in his possession.
He is believed to have committed loanshark harassment by splashing paint and scrawling graffiti on the wall of units in Serangoon, Yishun and Boon Lay housing estates, said the police in a statement on Friday.
