SINGAPORE - A spate of reports regarding missing cash from residences in the Selegie Road area prompted the police to conduct extensive ground enquiries and review CCTV footage, leading to an arrest on Tuesday.

According to a police statement, victims reported seeing a male suspect in some of the cases.

The suspect's identity was subsequently established and a 40-year-old man was arrested in the vicinity of Boon Lay for his involvement with the housebreaking and theft cases.

The suspect will be charged in the State Courts on Oct 16 and may face a maximum imprisonment term of 14 years.
