Police arrest man suspected of theft at Bugis Village

Police have arrested a 45-year-old man believed to be responsible for a spate of thefts at Bugis Village.

On April 17, at about 3pm, officers from Central Police Division received information that a suspicious man was loitering at Bugis Village.

Following a coordinated search based on descriptions provided, the officers located the subject at level 1 of Bugis Village.

Upon searching, the suspect was found in possession of a 14 watches, a toy car, one designer lighter and two can-opener souvenirs.


The subject was subsequently arrested as he could not give a satisfactory account of the said items.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he is believed to be responsible for at least five cases of theft at Bugis Village.
