Police arrest 77 people suspected of criminal activities

SINGAPORE: Police arrested 77 people suspected of being involved in various criminal activities in an islandwide operation.
Of those arrested in the 18-hour raids, 11 male and seven female Singaporeans were suspected of being involved in unlicensed moneylending activities.
A total of 53 Thai and Vietnamese women were arrested for suspected involvement in vice activities and unlawful employment in public entertainment outlets.
Five male Singaporeans were arrested for drugs-related offences.
One male Nigerian national was hauled up for immigration offences.
