The police arrested two men, aged 25 and 34, on Tuesday in two separate cases of suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
In the first case at 11.45am in the vicinity of Hougang Ave 9, the 34-year-old was found to have assisted loansharks in the transfer of funds and the opening of a bank account.
After he was arrested, loansharking paraphernalia, such as a bank statement and ATM card, were also found on him.
In the other case, the 25-year-old was arrested at Sembawang Drive at 4.45pm when police officers were conducting anti-crime rounds.
