At least nine people have been killed after a gunman opened fire in Ohio just hours after a mass shooting in Texas.
The shooter is believed to have targeted an area close to Ned Peppers Bar in the Oregon District, downtown Dayton, just after 1am.
Initial reports from WHIO-TV state that at least 16 people have been left injured in the attack.
The gunman was shot dead by police and officers are now looking for a second possible shooter who left the area in a dark-coloured jeep, KDKA-TV reports.
Witness James Williams described seeing the shooter arrive with an ‘AR-15 rifle, wearing a vest and ear muffs’, and said he ‘just started blowing bullets everywhere’.

He said: ‘Sad people are not right. I’m safe. Happened right in front of the patio where I was sitting in front of Ned’s.
‘The guy in front of Ned Peppers’ door is the active shooter. He tried to go into the bar but did not make it through the door.
The US has had 252 mass shootings this year alone
Someone took the gun from him and he got shot and is dead.
‘There are at least eight people dead right by the picnic table where I was on the street. A bunch of people taken to the hospital.’
He added: ‘It’s awful. I’ve never seen anything like this before.’

The shooting comes just hours after at least 20 people were shot dead in a Walmart shopping centre, in El Paso, Texas.
A gunman opened fire and killed ‘multiple’ people doing their Saturday shopping at the Cielo Vista Mall, said Mayor Dee Margo.
It is believed around 40 others were injured in the attack, including a four-month-old baby, CBS News reports.
