Man accused of murdering his mother, chopping her into 15 pieces in Perak

A 42-year-old man was charged in a magistrate's court in Perak on Tuesday (14 June) with murdering his mother who was then chopped into 15 pieces and thrown into a septic tank.
Ng Yu Lim, 42, is accused of murdering Ong Suan Bee, 68, at a house in Lorong Bendahara, Taman Kerian, between 2.30am and 3am on 4 June, according to The New Straits Times (NST).
No plea was taken from Ng, who did not have a lawyer. He will be sent to Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta for a month of observation, NST reported.
The case will be mentioned again on 27 July.
It was previously reported that police found the body parts on the afternoon of 4 June. A machete and two knives were reportedly among the items seized by investigators.
