The minor girl, a resident of Borhata village, was playing outside her house on Friday evening when Lalu Raju, who lived in the house adjacent to hers, lured her with chocolates and took her to a nearby public toilet, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Accused teen's mother finds minor girl bleeding
As the girl ran out of the toilet crying, Raju’s mother saw her. She then noticed Raju coming out of the toilet. She immediately stopped the girl and checked her. The minor was profusely bleeding from her private parts. Raju’s mother realised what had transpired inside the toilet block. She then took Raju to the girl’s father and apprised him of the crime, The Times of India reported.
Accused pays with life
The father of the girl got filled with rage when he learnt about Raju’s heinous act. He allegedly beat up Raju with a stick and kicked him on his genitals multiple times, leaving him unconscious. The teenager was admitted to Bharuch Civil Hospital, where he succumbed the next day.
Speaking to TOI, Bharuch deputy superintendent of police Chirag Desai said, “Raju died on Saturday morning. We have registered separate complaints of rape and murder. However, we are yet to arrest the girl’s father.”
Another incident
In another incident, a 19-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly trying to sexually assault a 10-year-old girl under Kishanpur police station limits in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur.
Police said the teenager allegedly attempted to rape the minor when she had gone to the fields to relieve herself in the fields around 1 pm on Saturday.
