I used to call 1711 for fun frequently. I enjoyed listening to the high/low tide timings and the constantly updated govt slogan e.g. 'Courtesy - it begins with me'.

I believe high volume is bullshit, those call centre monkeys are eating snake and letting you wait a bit longer before taking your call.
 
used to be all these fucking call centres, you cant understand a word they say,
pinoys sounded like crickets
ah neh sounds like speaking tamil all the time,

last 3 months, lucky i came across sinkees 2 times, at least can understand without repeating over n over, maybe the jobs are coming back to the locals or all cannot find jobs have to work in call centres
 
Singtel is prob one of the worst. I've called their hotline before and they confuse you with numerous options, press '1' for this, '2' for this etc.... and u will never reach an option to speak to a staff. fucking cheebye!
