it is with great discomfort that I read about your unfortunate incident with a resident of your constituency. I have always known that you are a bright man with a burning desire to serve the people. Minister Mentor Lee once mentioned that he wished younger PAP politicians would experience their baptism of fire and face the test of the electorate, I believe you now have passed that test with frying colours.
Whenever I attended functions and had the good fortune of listening to your speeches, your eloquence never failed to spark my interest in how the NTUC fights for the welfare of workers. When I see you take to the podium, I see the fire in your belly, the sparkle in your eyes, that never-say-die attitude. At constituency walkabouts, when I see how residents' faces light up as you mingle and banter with them, I feel a nice warm fuzzy feeling knowing that they are well taken care of.
