A DEAD body, believed to be of an elderly Chinese man, was found in the waters of Lower Seletar Reservoir on Saturday afternoon.
Police said they received a call at around 3.15pm that day alerting them of the body. It is understood that the man's belongings were found on the bank near the body.
A netizen also posted pictures on citizen journalism website STOMP on Saturday, and wrote that he had seen 'SCDF rescuers and paramedics running towards the entrance of the jetty' around 3.30pm.
Police have classified this as unnatural death and are investigating. A police spokesman said no foul play is suspected.
