Copycat 100 feet statue featuring the face of England football manager Roy Hodgson has been unveiled on
the white cliffs of Dover today. Created in the style of the world famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, it has been named 'Roy the Redeemer' to bring hope to England supporters ahead of Euro 2012.
Bookmakers Paddy Power, who are behind the stunt, said it will encourage England fans who think their team needs
divine intervention.

Paddy Power claims new manager Hodgson could be England's saviour and are urging fearful fans to keep the faith as
the Three Lions head to Poland and Ukraine for the tournament.
Statistics show that a vast majority of England supporters believe the team do not have a prayer at Euro 2012 with
just four per cent expecting a win. However the eight ton sculpture is said to be visible from France so fans hope it will
strike the fear of God into England's first opponents, 'Les Bleus', ahead of Monday's opening group game.

tournament triumph are at an all-time low. Most England supporters think the team will need all the help it can get after
losing key players like Frank Lampard, Gareth Barry and Gary Cahill to injuries in recent weeks.
The stunt is part of Paddy Power's 'We Hear You' advertising campaign.

has gone on to become the world's leading footballing nation. We're hoping some of that success can rub off on England
