Photo contest on fair employment launched today

The Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP) launched the inaugural "What does Fair Employment mean to me?" photo competition today.
The competition is part of its promotional efforts to generate greater awareness and adoption of Fair Employment Practices in Singapore.
Individuals may take part in the competition by submitting photos that best describes fair employment, together with a title and explanation of up to 300 characters. The closing date for the submission of entries is August 18, 2009.
Winners of the top three photos stand a chance to win attractive prizes, including cash worth a total of $6,000. All winners will also be presented with certificates, and their entries may be used in posters, collaterals and other TAFEP-related publicity materials.
A panel of judges from TAFEP, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will preside over the competition. Photos will be judged on criteria such as visual impact and relevancy to the theme. Shortlisted photos will be available for voting on 1 September 2009.
