Philips S358 debuts with Miravision Screen Technology and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS

Philips has a relatively new smartphone – the Philips S358 smartphone in Vietnam. Based on specs the device is an entry-level one, runs the current latest Android Lollipop OS and uses a new MiraVision screen technology.
The Philips S358 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with wide viewing angles, low power usage and realistic colours. With MiraVision onboard, the screen is able to deliver high-res display picture quality and DTV-grade display picture quality on mobile devices.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s UI ontop.
On the back sits a 8MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 8MP Fixed Focus f/2.2 camera for selfies with 84.7-degrees wide angle lens. Connectivity options on the Philips S358 includes – microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G.
The Dual SIM enabled Philips S358 measures 141.9 x 73 x 9.65 mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2300mAh battery with latest X-Power battery saver technology to ensure the battery last longer. It is available in Rose Gold and Black colour option in Vietnam for a reference price of VND 2, 900, 000 ($130).
