I used to use Shell petrol. I got 5% discount plus another 3% for using UOB Visa.
Now I use SPC. SPC gives 5% discount, plus 8% for DBS discount and 3% for POSB Everyday card.
Comparing the two, Shell gives 5% + 3%. SPC gives 13% + 3%.
Two weeks ago, Shell increased petrol prices by 4c per litre. Exxon and Caltex followed immediately. SPC didnt increase, forcing the other three oil companies to reduce their price by 4c.
Last week, Shell increased its price again by 4c. SPC increased its price by 3c. Caltex and Exxo followed SPC. Shell didnt budge. Let's see how long this price differential will last.
Looks like Shell is profiteering at the expense of the consumers. I applaud SPC for not wanting to follow Shell's lead and instead stood up for the consumers
Let us stand up against Shell's profiteering strategy: "Boycott Shell"
