Since Pee claimed that their new batches of candidates are 'A' Teams and are all from humble background and good track records, then why still afraid they will become corrupted if they are not paid 'market' rate should they become ministers one day - and don't forget if they can become ministers, they are the best among the best. You cannot stop him / her if he / she wants to be corrupted regardless of how much he / she is paid.

When opposition win and take over government, ask CPIB to investigate pap ministers.

But once he stepped out of office, can only find job paying 10% of a minister's salary. Lanlan still have to accept because thats his market rate
Wong Kan Seng was a teacher making a few grand a month before he was a millionaire politician, Tin Peiling makes 3-4K a month now and will make 15K MP allowance and another 15-20K in a GLC job. True million dollar talents like Tharman and Ng Eng Hen are actually in the minority
Hard Truth - majority of PAP ministers and MP will not be able to command the same salaries in the private sector
Singaporeans are subsidising them in millions of dollars of salaries while forcing entire households to survive on bread and water

Only Shanmugam (lawyer), Vivian (doctor) and Ng Eng Hen (doctor) can make real $ outside if they quit or forced to retire when lost in GE. They rest are JLB former civil servants I think
