Still bunched up despite all-day bus lanes

I FIND it frustrating that even with all-day bus lanes and intelligent route information systems, bus bunching still occurs frequently. Two such services are SBS service 15 and SMRT service 67.
One suggestion to minimise bus bunching and improve services is to use the route information system. Whenever a bus passes a stop, information is sent to the system to update its status.
The system should also be able to send a signal to tell the bus driver if he should speed up or slow down so as not to arrive at a bus stop too early or too late.
This interactive response system is like the SMRT train system which informs or controls the train when a train is too fast or too slow.
I hope the bus operators, with the Land Transport Authority, can look into this suggestion to improve their services to commuters.

The question is: WILL THEY DO IT? The answer: NO. Question again: WHY? Answer (again): BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF THE COMMUNTERS. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY AND FILLING UP THEIR OWN POCKETS.

Any polytechnic enginnering students can come up with such a system: every bus of a particular number is installed with one transmitter that sends out a signal (short-wave, long-wave, whatever) to a receiver that is installed at the bus-stop (receiver can be installed at the ceiling or on top of the stop to prevent vandalism). Once the bus passes the bus-stop and out of a particular radius range of transmission, a signal is sent to the next coming bus of the same number. The driver of that bus will then know how far or near is the bus of the same number before him, and will be able to either speed up or slow down. Better still if an alarm is installed in the bus (something likened to the buzzer for goods vehicles with a speed limit of 70km/h), where if the bus behind is coming too close to the one in front, which results in bus bunching.

The transmitter/ reciever box installed in the bus will only be activated once the engine starts, and every bus of a different number will be working with a signal different coded with different frequency for prevention of cross-signaling. Better still if the box can function as a 'black-box' that captures the speed and location of the bus, which will be of great help when an accident happens involving the bus.

Yes, we can all suggest and innovate. But as everyone in this country knows, our government and its extended operating-arms are filthy rich; just that they don't fork out the money to improve the system. Worse, they keep coming up with systems to squeeze more money out of us. Now that's what we call 'scary'.
