STOMPer Henry wants to find the culprit who damaged his car, which he parked at a VivoCity carpark last Sunday(5 Oct).

This STOMPer says:

"I parked my car at the VivoCity basement 2 carpark, in lot 232, last Sunday.

"I went to have lunch with my family and when I returned to the car, I was shocked to see that my car had been damaged.

"The front bumper was scratched and the foglight was dangling out.

"I immediately looked for the security guard at the carpark, but they refused to let me review the security camera video to find out who was the culprit.

"I made a police report and I am awaiting the results of their investigation.

"I hope that the VivoCity carpark management would let me review the footage soon."

STOMP is contacting VivoCity for comment.

You can only demand to see the video through legal channels after making a police report unless the owners of the carpark consent to it. Basic logic. Which laws are based on. The exceptions are for politics.

Henry can dream about the police will do something over it. There are standardized answers:

1. When they tried to retrieve video from vivo city, it was overwritten, if not,
the footage were corrupted, the video was not clear, the hard disk was corrupted.

2. Get your own investigator to investigate the culprit.

3. Get your own lawyer and apply to the magistrate court to enforce any legal actions.

4. Sorry, it did not damage any public properties, thus it did not fall under the jurisdiction of the police.

5. We are still investigating, we will get back to you after the time bar !!

POODLE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!

looks like an expensive car.
not many cars have a backside like that.
and i wonder... doesn't he have insurance coverage?

anyhow, i dislike parking at the basement - it's very difficult for me to find my way around.
i prefer the higher level-carparks nearer to st james (not that i go st james).
