Paris Hilton arrested on cocaine charges
Paris Hilton has been arrested for possession of cocaine after officers stopped the car she was in on a Las Vegas street late on Friday night.

Paris Hilton was being held in the Clark County Detention Center early on Saturday morning on a charge of possession of cocaine. Police spokesman Marcus Martin said the 29-year-old was in a car driven by a friend, which was stopped when officers noticed suspected marijuana smoke coming from it.
<!-- BEFORE ACI --> Mr Martin said that during the search officers found what appeared to be a controlled substance on Miss Hilton. Tests showed that it was cocaine.
Police were unable to confirm how much of the drug she had in her posession. Las Vegas police Lt. Wayne Holman said that Miss Hilton would probably be released on Saturday morning.
Two months ago Miss Hilton was arrested during the World Cup in South Africa for marijuana posession. She and a friend were accused of possessing the drug at the Brazil v the Netherlands quarter-final, but the charges were later dropped. She was also reportedly questioned by police at an airport in Corsica a few weeks later on similar grounds. The hotel heiress was sent to prison in June 2007 for driving offences.
