PAP's popularity at Lantern Festival

i have decided to come back to blogging after 2 events that happened right in my very own eyes in less than 30 minutes today.

a Singaporean man(probably in his 30s) scolding a small group of China passer-bys at a bus stop: "Go back to China! We don't want you here! It is the government who wants you!"

like others, this is rather...unexpectedly stunning. after all Singaporeans are known to be chickens who dare not speak up. i declared myself "Singaporean" when his angry eyes noticed i was watching...well just to avoid a lashing which are meant for foreigners. i chatted him up only to know that he is jobless and is frustrated with getting a job here in Singapore.

the next 5 minutes revolved about NS disadvantaging Singaporean males and the over-influx of foreigners.

our short convo was over when our buses came and i gave him http://www.3in1kopitiam.com/ forum address.

he is like one of the many Singaporeans who believed in the PAP system. only to be disappointed and destituted in the end.

that issue aside, as i was walking home and crossed this bridge near whampoa. there i saw a small crowd from afar, celebrating Latern Festival(yeah today it is). as i get nearer, i realized it was a PAP occasion.

yeah i can only identify Grace Fu(pretty lady for her age), and the other PAP Jalan Besar MPs(wh0ever they are like anyone will give a damn). there was a speaker system with a emcee and stage crews at the corner of the bridge: with "expensive" written all over it.

guess whats the celebration?
the building of a stupid bridge, officiated by PAP MPs.

yeah~build a bridge for the people~vote PAP for more good times~i love PAP~

yeah i guess that was the ambient mood for the small crowd. probably less than 30 people. speaks volume about PAP's popularity isn't it?

i recorded a video of this small event (:

you remind me of the radio FM97.2 on thurs late afternoon, that beh mp was telling how his wife and him engage a singing teacher to teach them sing properly. My god,I realise that no matter how hard I work,I will not have that kind of luxury to engage a singing teacher...no offence mr beh,I know you are a nice guy but i felt quite disheartened by the hard facts of life.
