Even bus stops are air-conditioned in Dubai, where daytime temperatures are around 40°C in the hottest months, says STOMPer Khin. Pictured here are the STOMPer's senior citizen colleagues who are visiting the Middle Eastern state.

In the STOMPer's email:

"Currently my senior citizen colleagues are visiting Dubai, where the temperature is about 40°C.

"Even the bus stops here are air-conditioned and commuters can travel comfortably.

"The state is constantly being improved, soon it will be the most developed in the region.

"I do not see air-conditioned bus stops in other middle eastern cities that are hotter than Dubai."

I wonder how much they are charging per km travel on Dubai public transport. Let's have more details. Will be fun to compare with our SBASS

In Bangkok, the bus stops are not short distances of each other, sometimes obscure, sometimes doesn't list the buses running the route. It's either you know what bus you're taking or you don't. The internet also not always up to date.

But Ang-mo also take the bus, it seems.

The same bus no. got public and private operator plying the route, air-con and non air-con.

I've taken the non air-con, and it's flat fare (8 thb the highest I've paid so far), doesn't matter if it's highway or not.

Bro, it's 8 thb even if you go from one end to the other. So frequent you don't get frustrated waiting for your bus. Are they running at a loss? Most have conductors collecting fares somemore!

You wonder really how much SBS and MRT sucking off Sinkies?
