'The guide is silent on premiums.Why?'
MR SNG CHONG HUAT: 'Recently, I received a package containing an application form and guide to enrol in CPF Life, which is offered to citizens above 55 years old. The guide gives a comprehensive description of the scheme but is silent on the cost of premiums, stating only that they will be deducted from the CPF member's Retirement Account. I called the CPF hotline for an explanation and was told that the premium was 10 per cent of the Retirement Account. Why was this not stated in the CPF guide and the application form?'
