'Don't be too harsh on ourselves'

MAYOR Zainudin Nordin believes Singapore has done well in the past 50 years and there is no need for people to be 'too harsh' on themselves.
He made the point yesterday when responding to a Nominated MP's assertions that Singapore came up short in reaffirming the principles enshrined in the country's Pledge.
Reflecting on Singapore's success over the years, Mr Zainudin (Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC) said: 'We have built and done much for our country. Let us not be too harsh on ourselves.'
