I had a similar experience when I badly needed a root canal done and the National Dental Centre told me to wait at least six months. I was in excruciating pain.
I went to a private dental clinic and was attended to immediately. Also, the cost at the private clinic was much less than that quoted by the National Dental Centre.
Charges at government dental clinics are not always lower than those at private clinics.

Go to bangkok and have your teeth check up lah.. cheaper. and you will not spend time and effort fighting over prices which i think is so unintelligent.

Because they do not want foreigners like you to go there
Most of NDC's work are referrals from the schools for treatment of the schoolkids dental problems......... working adults get last priority on the waiting list. :p FTs dun get any subsidies here
