PAP today is a very different animal from the 1970-1980s,...right on!!!
This is the very sentence that encapsulates and put in a nutshell why and what every Sinkies is trying to voice out... the high price of HDB "subsidized" flats, the oppression, the frustrations the high handedness of the govt of today.....among other things.
Previously (1970-1980s), the govt was benevolent towards the nation and the natives. NOW the govt is malevolent towards the ppl,.. couldn't care less if the pple suffer from low wages versus the high Cost of Living..... or have to compete with the FTrashes for jobs....etc
They open the floodgate and swamp the island with foreigners in hundreds of thousands...all in the name of enhancing the GDP.

I am saying "OVERALL" and seeing the big perspective of their policies. If we want to split hair and gather dirt....there are many things we can go into.
There will always be pluses and minuses here and there. Should we say 90% of the time during the period 1970 - 1980s, they are pro nation building with the natives????
