SINGAPORE – NTUC Union members can enjoy an eggs and kaya toast breakfast for $1 at over 60 selected Kopitiam outlets in Singapore until Aug 31.

The outlets include those at AMK Hub, Jem, Jurong Point, Paya Lebar Quarter, Plaza Singapura and VivoCity.

The $1 Kopitiam Signature Breakfast Set is offered by FairPrice Foundation in partnership with the food court chain to celebrate Singapore’s 59th birthday, said FairPrice Group (FPG) in a media release on Aug 1.

From 7am to 11am daily, National Trades Union Congress Union members can enjoy the promotion by presenting their physical or digital silver NTUC card. They have to apply the e-voucher when making payment using the FPG app.

Customers can also enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free offer on Milo Original Chocolate Malt Drink Powder (400g tin) from Aug 1 to 4 at all FairPrice stores. The drink powder retails at $6.75 per tin and the promotion is limited to two sets per customer per transaction.

Diners at Lau Pa Sat, which is managed by Kopitiam, can enjoy a variety of $5.90 meals like chicken quesadilla, egg masala briyani and creamy miso ramen until Aug 31. Diners can also beat the heat with 59-cent Hokkaido milk ice cream at the hawker centre.

To bring the National Day spirit to the heartland, FPG will also be hosting two block parties in Woodlands and Boon Tiong Road on Aug 3.

There will be live performances, a Milo truck at Woodlands and family-friendly games.

Visitors will also receive a free recycle bag when they spend a minimum of $20 in a single transaction at the FairPrice on Wheels truck, while stocks last.

“FPG has been bringing block parties to heartland neighbourhoods across the island since August 2023. Since its launch, the initiative has brought together close to 8,000 heartland residents in celebration of various festive occasions,” the retailer and social enterprise said.

It added that goodie bags filled with FairPrice housebrand staples such coffee and oatmeal are distributed to lower-income families at the block parties.
