The PAP-controlled media expectedly picked up our scoop about the sacking of a NSP supporter Geraldine Soh by Jurong Town Council yesterday after attending a NSP rally without quoting the source again as usual.
Unfortunately, the reports are deliberately spun in such a way to give the public the erroneous perception that Geraldine was sacked because of poor performance.
The Straits Times quoted Jurong Town Council general manager Ho Thian Poh as saying that Geraldine had displayed ‘weaknesses in attending to calls from residents, and following up on calls’ and that she was asked to leave because her “performance had not been up to scratch for several months.”
What was not revealed is that Geraldine has been working at the Town Council for three years without receiving a single complaint or warning from her employer and that a staff of the Town Council actually informed her father that she was suspended for ‘passing confidential information to the opposition.’
Even more glaring is the fact that Mr Ho Thian Poh is a PAP member and a branch secretary of Bukit Batok East which was not mentioned in any of the papers. (read here)
Neither did the state media report on allegations made by Geraldine’s boyfriend that Jurong Town Council has given time off to its staff to attend PAP rallies.
It is utterly deplorable that the Singapore media has resorted to such irresponsible reporting to hide the truth and to make its PAP masters look good again.
Singaporeans should think twice before approaching the PAP propaganda mouthpieces which will only twist and turn your words in order to suit the PAP’s partisan interests.
