PAP Dogs Are Played Out, Who's Next?

PAP used to take very good care of their dogs. Dual career Admin Officers and Senior SAF Officers were well paid and well looked after when they completed their tours of service in PSD and SAF. They were always rewarded with good second career options.

Recently I was having a casual chat with an SAF BG. He said that they are not likely to get any second career postings now as there are not many vacancies in the GLCs and TLCs. They have to go out and find their own jobs. They feel played out.

The pap has played out singaporeans. Now the PAP dogs feel being played out by their master.

After playing out Singporeans, their dogs, who will the pap play out next?

My guess is either their MPs or the new citizens

i hardly think 20K+ a month for years as a snr officer can be considered "played out"

as for this notion of kena played out, its an extremely myopic view. when any one group is "played out", others benefit, in particular, the rest of the country.

early days, we lacked good local snr managers, hence the need to parachute in ex-generals. now, the positions are filled. move on.

if your BG acquaintance really feels played out, then it does not bode well for the SAF. how can we trust an unhappy general to execute his orders to the best of his abilities?

The writing is in the wall.The old dogs may feel played out.But there are always new dogs as replacements who can be satisfied by left-over bones.If PAP plays its card right the new-citizens aka PRC & Ah Nehs & Pinoys would serve as their new dogs for far less...In short PAP can pitch old dogs against new dogs for less and less.
