THE Government and grassroots groups are getting on the mobile-applications bandwagon.

An application, iLink@ Aljunied GRC, was launched last November to encourage feedback from IT-savvy residents.

It enables users to report problems within Aljunied GRC and read reports by others. Users can also check the latest news and get information on Meet The People sessions.

The Health Ministry also commissioned iHealth Sg, rolled out last year, which helps patients find hospitals or clinics nearby and shows their locations on a map.

It also shows live images via webcam of waiting rooms and the number of patients waiting for a consultation at all 18 polyclinics and Alexandra Hospital.

Both applications can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store.
