It was not his fight but Peter Koh joined an attack on a technician. On Oct 10, the painter was jailed for two months after he pleaded guilty to being a member of an unlawful assembly that had hurt the ex-boyfriend of a friend.
A district court heard that Josline Teo Siew Mei, 19, an accountant, ran into her former boyfriend and his new partner, at the lobby of the Cathay cinema in the Ang Mo Kio Hub Shopping Centre on the evening of July 20, 2010. Teo was there with Benjamin Mah Kian Sheng, also 19, then a full-time national serviceman.
Angry words were exchanged and Teo and Mah called friends to join them in teaching the ex-boyfriend a lesson.
Soon, Li Zhiqiang, 27, unemployed, Steven Ong Kok Ho, 24, a dispatch rider, and Lee Shi Kai, 16, a student, arrived at the shopping centre.
Koh was also called to join the attack.
